Coke Zero

His assignment for the day was to practice writing the number 10.

Me: Write number one, first. Vertical line then slanting line. And then zero. Just like Coke Zero!

(finished writing the number 10)

Chikoy: Coke one ya? (What about Coke 1?)

Me: huh?

Chikoy: Tapos na ang Coke Zero, Coke One naman dason. (We're done with Coke Zero, Coke one comes next.)

Me: Palagpat!

We both ended up laughing!

d. bariw shoulder bag with leather strap @ P600.00
e. precious moment wedding doll @P3,000.00

the verdict: a

my choice: e

damn! why do you have to be so stingy? you expect so much but you give too little. and you find no shame in that.

sometimes, i just can't see the logic in things. call it naivety. i'd rather be that than be disenchanted.

Downtime

i woke up thinking that today was a Sunday... then i started making mental notes of what to do for the day - breakfast, mass, grocery, movie time till night... and that's when i realized it's only a wednesday and i'm supposed to be getting ready for work... finish my report, work on an activity proposal, make some calls...wait for the reports to come for consolidation...wait... and hope... that the day ends and it will be a day less in waiting before the weekend comes.

anything can happen.

Cake Parody

"This is just fanfare. These are all icing on the cake. I hope you have a good cake."

Comment by someone clearly bothered by the Valentine's Day decorations during an Assessment and Planning Activity.

Yes We Can - the Obama Campaign Theme Song

I was moved to tears seeing my favorite artists support the charismatic Illinois Senator. We all long for that one person who can move a people towards national solidarity and world peace. Barack Obama may not be that person for some of us, but his ideals speak of what a divided nation can hope for.

Yes we can!

Listening to Carla Bruni

Over the weekend, the hubby obsessed about finding every bit of information about Carla Bruni after reading of her recent marriage to French President, Nicolas Sarkozy. The wedding is a first of Carla and a third for the president who recently enjoyed new-found freedom after ending an 11-year marriage in October of 2007.

Who is she?
According to AskMen.com: "Carla Bruni is one of the world's most photographed models, and one of the most financially successful." She's hot, hot hot! And proof of that is her string of high-profile romances with Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Kevin Costner, Vincent Perez, Donald Trump and the former French Prime Minister Laurent Fabius, to name a few. In wikipedia, she was said to be ...easily "bored with monogamy." Hence, the very colorful lovelife.

Quotes by Carla
(source: Wikepedia)

"Love lasts a long time, but burning desire - two to three weeks"

"I'm monogamous from time to time, but I prefer polygamy and polyandry"

Her music is easy to the ears. We've been listening to her two albums lately: Quelqu'un m'a dit (English: Someone Told Me) released in 2003 and No Promises (2007). I've been walking around with Those Dancing Days are Gone in my head for three days now. What's more interesting, though, is that the lyrics of all the tracks in the No Promises album are adaptations of poems of deceased authors! (Dancing Days are Gone are by W. B. Yeats).

Here's a clip of the song I found in youtube:
