Someday... I Just Know

When he saw her, he just knew - he'll marry her someday.

He will go to the US, where she is now. He will court her, she'll say yes and they will marry. He will build her a house, a robot house, one that transforms and can fly.

But for now, he's going to study very hard, especially math and science because he needs to be very good at it to be able to build his robot house. He pretty much has some ideas sketched up in his mind on how he would want it to look but he has to reinforce it with the fundamentals so that it's not only going to be about the design but the structure as well.

For now, he's not going to call her or send her email for he doesn't miss her yet. When he does, he will.

Whenever he's paired up with some pretty girl his age, he'd shy off and say that he already has a girlfriend. Her name is Charie, she's currently in the states and he's going to marry her someday.

So loyal and pure...

Goodbye Old Friend

It's taken us a long time to get to know each other and live up to each other's expectations. At times, we've failed each other and break each other's hearts. But I never thought that what we had, the security and the comfort that we've become so used to through the years, could end. Yes, just like that... And we have to part ways and carry on with our life journeys separately.

Live well old friend, carry on. And know, that you will be missed and will be remembered for everything that your friendship meant and stood for.

On our 14th...

For our 14th anniversary, the hubby and I did the two things that kept our relationship stronger throughout the years - dine out and watch movies. We had dinner at Perry Tod's Grilled Hamburger and watched Angels and Demons.

Angkong's Birthday

I'm back after my week-long battle with the flu. Took a while to get it off my system, not without proper rest and religiously taking my meds. My immune system hit bottom low after the end-of-May frenzy at home - the FIL's bday and Koy's bday.

I baked ube cake for my father in law. My first ube cake, ever, complete with ube halaya filling, ube chiffon cake and violet icing. I baked the cake and the halaya tuesday night. By wednesday morning, I woke up early to whip up the butter icing and assembled everything before heading off to work.

Although, I didn't do well on the icing application (not with the rush rush rush!), I'm proud to say that they liked it! But will I ever make ube cake again? From scratch? I don't know, cake making, for me, is a labor of love. And if there is no love to spare, there is always Red Ribbon! Bleh!

He curled his hands into fists and started to pound on his temples while squinting and chanting, “Brain, Brain, buligi ako!!!!!” (Brain, brain, help me!!!!!)

Everybody broke down in laughter, especially Koy.
